Madison's Mission Activity-6/10/24
Before summer break, Madison’s Mission initiated one last activity for the end of the school year.
The final activity involved the science of balloons. The children blew up their own balloons to experiment with and conducted multiple experiments. The first experiment involved placing the balloon close to the running sink water. The students would then observe the interaction between the balloon and the water as the water bent away from the balloon. Afterwards, the team lead the children to rub the balloons on their head or shirt to learn the power of friction. With friction, the balloon that students placed on their palm was able to be stuck to the palm even after facing their palm downwards. Finally, the last experiment involves inflating a balloon with vinegar and baking soda. The students were awed by the science in common and every-day use objects.
With the remaining time left, the students and the team engaged in some intense and exciting balloon-volleyball game; ending the school year off with laughter and joy!
