On a very sunny and bright May 6, a yard sale was held to generate donations for the non-profit organization Madison's Mission. Madison's Mission aims to help children in special education classes explore and discover their passions. Our main goal for the yard sale was to spread word about our organization, which is in its early phases, and raise money. Before eight in the morning, we started to help set up the yard sale. The sale lasted from 8 am- 12 pm, and it was a success! In total we earned more than 110 dollars from sales and donations.
We sold a variety of items such as books, tools, and toys. During the sales, we also informed the customers about Madison's Mission, whose values and goals inspired people to donate. It was exiting and motivating to see that people supported the cause. This event was only possible with the help of Matthew, my brother and his friend Andrew.
Overall this event was very good in both the amount of funding and exposure that the organization received. Especially after a long break from Covid-19, this event was an excellent opportunity to get back into helping the community. Madison's Mission will continue to participate in events that will spread our word so that our mission inspire and impact the people around us.
