The November activity involved pinecones, colored feathers, glue, and googly eyes, everything
the children needed to create their own adorable miniature turkeys.
With patient guidance, students practiced placing tiny feathers, positioning googly eyes, and
assembling their pinecone turkeys. These activities were to help strengthen fine-motor skills
and hand–eye coordination, giving students hands-on ways to build important abilities while
having fun. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, volunteers also helped the children write appreciation
cards for whom they were grateful.
